Trekking aids in mending depression

Today we the individuals are struggling to cope up with our personal and professional relations, because of which anxiety and depression seep into our life, thus creating a turmoil within. Often medical assistance is the only reservoir left for recovery. But why to overlook the natural remedies, which are low cost and devoid of any side effects. Yes, I am referring to trekking. John Burroughs once quoted, “I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order.” The more you trek, the more you distance yourself from the tides of the worldly pressures. Letting yourself through the woods of nature rejuvenates your five senses, through the beauty of the landscape, the sound of birds, the aroma of flowers, and the touch of earth and taste of natural growths. This rejuvenation is all that is needed to recoup from any sort of mental stress.

A big reason to put your mobile phones and gadgets on sleep mode

When was the last time, you raise your head high to look at the beauty of nature in the sky and around? Well, I do. Last week when I was out on my trekking expedition, my gadgets were on sleep mode. Neither did I disturb them nor did they. And as a result, I had a great rendezvous session with Mother Nature and its inhabitants on the trails of my trek. I don’t have pictures of my magical moments to show you, because it’s there in my mind (my memory) for a lifetime. Trekking gives you the pleasure which you don’t wish to post on social media accounts with emojis. But, it satiates you with peace and tranquillity that brings out the better in you from every chore. Distance from your electronics to trek the long distances of the trail is also essential to shed off the adverse effects of the radiations these gadgets have on you.

Boosts the intellect

Research proves that accompanying more of nature than technology. Boosts the creativity and intelligence of an individual. The trails of flora and fauna, the scene of sunset and sunrise, the waterfalls and so much more provides your brain with all the fuel it needs to enhance its intellect level and diversity in thought. Believe me, from the day I made trekking my friend, I became more approachable, wise in decision making and increased my acceptability for diverse people and situation without any grudges. Undoubtedly, I have been a creative person but trekking gave me more and more reasons to unwind my creative intellect.

Builds up the social circle

Trekking today is also considered as part of personal development to score high on mental wellness. Trekking introduces you to new people with a distinct personality. Trekking done in a group with family and friends allows the participants to enjoy and share the priceless moments. Often small incidents on the trekking expedition leave a big positive impact on relations. Break from professional life and unnecessary social obligations to bond with them who wish to live together can very well be done in the abyss of nature with positivity around. Facing the small challenges on the treks together gives you the confidence to face the challenges of life together.

It’s a medicine for ADHD disorder

Adults and children with ADHD attention deficit hyperactivity disorder lack focus, long-term attention and are hyperactive in their behaviour. Such individuals are often suggested trekking as a measure for mental wellness. Today the age from which an individual is exposed to tablets, computers and mobile phones has decreased to as low as one year old. As a result, the brain has lost all connection with the outside world. When on trekking, the nerves of ADHD sufferers breathe the freshness of nature, thus stimulating the positive growth of their grey cells.

Life sucks a lot less, when you add mountain air, a campfire and some peace and quiet.
